Leonard is a native Houstonian. Married for forty six years, he and his wife are the parents of two daughters. In 1969 he founded and became CEO of his own insurance and financial services agency, he worked in that Industry selling, recruiting and managing for over 35 years. He worked extensively for many years offering Tax Shelter/Retirement Programs in the HISD system.

A graduate of the Dale Carnegie Courses in effective speaking and human relations he is adept at public speaking and has very strong communication skills.

Over this same span of 35 – 40 years, Leonard has counseled many businesses and individuals on both financial and personal affairs.

Active in the community as well as the business world – Leonard has won many awards for being a very active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, several non-profit organizations and many Houston Churches. He has also conducted many seminars and workshops, which were open to the public. Working as a parent volunteer he helped negotiate two contracts for HISD through the Federal Government’s “Title One Program” each in the amount of $ 500,000. He has also served as a Summer Site Director for the City of Houston’s “Summer Parks Program for Youth”.

In 1998, Leonard was trained and certified by one of the nation’s premier counseling organization to do pre-marriage, marriage and couples counseling. A certified LBT (Licensed Belief Therapist) he is a life skills counselor, has designed class curriculums, instructed life skills groups and lead group counseling sessions.

Leonard became a Pastoral Care Specialist in 1999. Along with this training and over 40 years of counseling people in different arenas – he has seen the damaging effects caused by anger and hurt issues in people’s lives. His desire to help people with this problem was his reason for becoming a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist.
